What are Steel Cut Oats?
Country Choice Organic Steel Cut Oats are a hearty way to start your day. We take the whole oat kernel and simply cut it into small pieces creating an oatmeal with a distinctive chewy texture. The Quick Cook Steel Cut Oats offer the same whole grain nutty goodness in a fraction of the times since they need only 5 minutes to cook!
Servings: 1 2 4
Water: ¾ cup 1½ cups 3 cups
Oats: ¼ cup ½ cup 1 cup
To Make on Stovetop:

Bring water to a boil.

Stir in oats.

Reduce heat, cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and allow to stand for 1 minute before serving.
To Make in Microwave:

Combine ¾ cup of water and ¼ cup of Quick Cook Steel Cut Oats in a deep microwaveable bowl. (1 quart)

Cook on 50% power for 3 minutes, stir and cook on 50% power an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from microwave (bowl will be hot) and allow to stand for 1 minute.
Note: Due to differences in microwave ovens, cook times may vary.
